The 316 stainless deflector is ideal for taking all the ambient light from the LEDs surrounding the down view module and aiming further down the borehole.  This allows the well camera to view larger diameter holes and eliminates some of the backscatter from water turbidity.

The unit also serves as protection for he down view lens.

When taking video or pictures aiming one's light is always vitally important for superb images.  That's precisely why we invented the all new Lens Shield and Light Deflector for the R-Cam camera.

The 316 stainless deflector is ideal for taking all the ambient light from the LEDs surrounding the down view module and aiming further down the borehole.  This allows the well camera to view larger diameter holes and eliminates some of the backscatter from water turbidity.

The unit also serves as protection for he down view lens. The conical nature protrudes out past the down view glass and prevents immediately contact with an obstruction or if the camera is driven to the bottom of the borehole.
