The Wellmaster Break-Off Plug and Torpedo parts are used when the Angus preferred method of installation and retrieval is used. The break-off plug is installed in the coupling attached to the submersible pump either directly into the coupling or, in the case of 51mm (2”) and 76mm (3”) sizes, in a separate Breakoff plug Adaptor which is connected between the pump and the coupling at the bottom of the riser. No plug is used with 38mm (1 1/2"). The torpedo is used to break the plug during the retrieval process so as to allow water to drain from the riser
