When a large water utility company identified iron bacteria problems with three of its boreholes, it asked two borehole specialists to remediate the issue.
Working together, borehole maintenance specialist Drilcorp and treatment experts Geoquip Water Solutions came up with a two-pronged approach involving physical and chemical treatment to deliver exactly what was required to solve the problems.
The Geoquip team turned out in force to support Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British September Clean event last month.

In Italy, Milan-based Millars Products specialises in borehole rehabilitation and remediation, which includes the use of Geoquip’s BoreSaver range of water treatment solutions.
The Beacon Project, a collaboration between Anglian Water, its Alliance (capital delivery) partners and WaterAid, is working to improve water supplies, sanitation and waste water management in the Nepalese town of Lahan, where less than half of the 98,000 strong population has access to piped water.
The town only has one water treatment works and water is supplied from five boreholes via a network of pipes. Early on, the team discovered a problem with sand contamination.
